Korea’s top bakery brand Paris Baguette opens its 200th overseas store in China | |

South Korea’s SPC Co., the parent company of leading bakery and patisserie brand Paris Baguette, opened its 200th overseas shop at Lingyun Guangchang, in Shanghai, China, the first Korean bakery franchise to hit the milestone. SPC opened its 100th overseas Paris Baguette bakery in Vietnam in 2012, 11 years after it went global. The Lingyun Guangchang outlet is its 23rd franchise store in China. SPC operates shops directly in China, the U.S, France, Vietnam and Singapore. It also run franchise business only in China, but plans to boost the number to more than 100 in overseas markets next year and over 2,000 in China and the U.S. by 2030. SPC Chief Executive Officer Hur Young-in during a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the company’s founding in October, said he aims to open 12,000 shops around the globe by 2030 to create 100,000 jobs.
